The Psarra family began their professional activity in Old Koutali, of Asia Minor. The object of its activity is fishing, processing, and trading of natural sponges. Because of the Asia Minor disaster, the family migrated to Lemnos in 1921. Established in the new place, today’s New Koutali of Lemnos, continue the family tradition. In 1954 grandfather Chrysostomos Psarras founded a company that deals with the processing and trade of natural sponges. In 1987 his son, Ioannis Psarras decided to expand in parallel to the dynamically growing market of synthetic sponge. Based on quality and with respect to the principles of the company, he opts for the introduction of an innovative raw material of European origin.

This particular quality is what gives the known hydrophilic properties to the company’s products. On an area of 2.5 acres constructs the facilities for the production and processing of synthetic sponges with state-of-the-art machinery of German origin. After 64 years of its successful course, the company exports its products to America, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Spain, England, China, and Israel. In 2017 the younger generation of the family business decides to modernize the company’s corporate profile and to promote its products under the brand name “TREAT ME WELL” and for the first time in the Greek market.
